German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier states that Ukrainian crisis is far from being settled despite some progress.
The German Minister said this on Wednesday, speaking at the conference "In Search of Lost Universalism", organized by the Association of Schools of Political Studies of the Council of Europe, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Our diplomatic efforts, which have resulted in the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine being more or less observed for nine weeks, are the important and encouraging sign. However, the crisis is still far from being settled," the Minister said noting that the crisis settlement needs the efforts of all the parties.
Steinmeier stressed that the annexation of Crimea "has become more than just political crisis; it has been and still is the violation of the international law, which sets a dangerous precedent in Europe and outside."
