Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has started his visit to Turkey where he will participate at the II World Congress of Crimean Tatars.
MFA of Ukraine reports the news in its Twitter.
"@PavloKlimkin began his visit to Turkey to participate in the second World Congress of Crimean Tatars," a statement said.
The Foreign Ministry said Klimkin would make a speech at the Congress and meet Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Numan Kurtulmus.
As a reminder note, the second World Congress of Crimean Tatars is held in Ankara, Turkey, on August 1-2.
The Board of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Crimea has prohibited the head of Crimean Tatar Kurultai Zair Smedlyayev and First Deputy Chairman of Majlis Nariman Celal to leave the Crimean peninsula during the period of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars in Ankara
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed its strong protest against the Russian action.
