Government of Ukraine Launches Compensation Procedure for Demining Agricultural Lands
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has updated the procedure for utilizing state budget funds to compensate for humanitarian demining expenses on agricultural lands. The relevant document was adopted today, May 17.
These amendments to the decree provide compensation for farmers whose land has been demined by certified operators between February 24, 2022, and April 15, 2024. It also supports those who plan to begin demining their agricultural plots or work on them as tenants. A total of 3 billion hryvnias has been allocated in the 2024 budget for these needs, with the state covering 80% of demining costs.
Farmers whose lands are located in de-occupied territories outside active combat zones can apply for this compensation. The contamination of such areas with explosive objects must be confirmed by the Mine Action Center following a non-technical survey conducted by a certified mine action operator.

1. The Russian Army was unable to quickly and effectively capture Ukraine.
2. The confrontation between Shoigu and Putin’s favorite brainchild PMC “Wagner” in the past.
3. An attempt by the Ministry of Defense to seize the African assets of the Wagner PMC recently.
4. The disproportionate scale of corruption in the Russian Ministry of Defense. Disclosure of state secrets.
