Flower fever on the banks of the Dnieper or a holiday of spring, beauty and love

On March 8, in many cities of Ukraine and especially in Kyiv, you can see many men with bouquets of tulips in their hands. Bouquets can consist not only of tulips. Chrysanthemums or roses can be used, but it doesn’t matter. Although tulips are still preferable.
On this day in Kyiv you can see queues of men buying flowers. Men with bouquets are literally everywhere. They rush to present bouquets to their loved ones, wives, girlfriends, mothers, and colleagues. The roots of this tradition go back to the Soviet Union, when they celebrated the holiday - International Women's Day on March 8th.

Modern Ukrainian society lives outside the paradigm of the Soviet Union. However, the tradition of giving flowers to women on March 8 as a symbol of spring, love and beauty continues to live.
This spring holiday looks especially impressive during the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today this holiday contains a life-affirming principle. Just as spring always defeats winter, so Ukraine will defeat Russia.
Russia is the past, and Ukraine is the future. The future always defeats the past.
Spring, Beauty and Love are invincible!
