Quarantine restrictions to be further relaxed – a Government decision

At its session on June 3, the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision to further gradually lift quarantine restrictions.
In his statement, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal stressed that currently, Ukraine preserves a plateau stage in the cases of coronavirus infection. "For a week now, the number of those who have contracted the infection has, in fact, not been growing or falling. That is why we must remain careful and responsible," the Head of Government highlighted.
At that, Denys Shmyhal is convinced that in most regions the situation is completely under control. "Therefore, the model of adaptive quarantine allowed to launch another wave of quarantine restrictions weakening from June 1. In most of our regions, the gyms, fitness centers, swimming pools were allowed to resume operation, as well as it applies to interregional bus and railway communication."

The Prime Minister added that further relaxation of quarantine restrictions will apply to the operation of catering establishments, church services and the launch of air services. "From June 5, we will launch domestic flights, and from June 15, foreign flights. We also want cafes and restaurants to start receiving visitors inside from June 5. Of course, all the rules on distance and disinfection must be observed," the Prime Minister emphasized.
According to the amendments made by the Government to Resolution №392 "On the introduction of quarantine to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in Ukraine and the stages of relaxation of anti-epidemic measures", from June 5 it is allowed: welcoming visitors in the premises of public catering establishments, on condition of observance of anti-epidemic measures; persons aged over 60 not complying with the obligation of staying on quarantine; holding religious events indoors, provided that the rule of distancing  1 person per 5 square meters is observed; accreditation of educational programs, which provide training for higher education applicants in distance regime, as well as adopting the decision on conditional accreditation of educational programs without conducting or with partial accreditation examination until September 1, 2020.
