The Solomiansky district court in Kyiv has issued an order to make the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) start a pretrial criminal investigation into the misuse of power and misuse of funds by the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko, and a number of other officials of Ukraine's Justice Ministry.
The order was issued by the Solomiansky district court in Kyiv on October 17.
According to the text of the order, the Solomiansky district court in Kyiv had received a complaint against the inactivity of the NABU, in particular, it had refused to register reports about crimes committed by the former prime minister, the justice minister, a deputy justice minister, and other officials of the Justice Ministry that are described in Part 2 of Article 364 (misuse of power or office,) Part 5 of Article 191 (misappropriation and embezzlement of property,) Part 3 of Article 209 (money laundering,) Part 2 of Article 366 (forgery by an official,) and Part 3 of Article 212 (tax evasion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
"Having listened to the legal address by the claimant and having reviewed the materials of the complaint, the investigating judge decided to accept the motion," the court ruling says.
