President Petro Poroshenko signed a Decree on the establishment of the Day of the Ukrainian Police on July 4. The Head of State told this during his speech at the ceremony of presenting certificates for water and road transport to the National Police of Ukraine.

A qualitative transition to the new law enforcement agencies - a final goodbye to the Soviet-style militia and formation of a new Ukrainian police, which will have and has the main thing - high confidence of the Ukrainian people," Petro Poroshenko said.
