Searching for Motives in Mass Shootings

By all accounts, mass shootings are now claiming more American lives than at any other point in the past thirty-five years. The most recent, on the morning of November 14th, in Rancho Tehama, California, left five victims and the shooter dead and twelve wounded, including six children.
