The Ukrainian Government has
terminated the most corrupt scheme that was operated for decades in the
country.
Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman stated
this in an interview with Ukrinform.
In particular, when asked
about utility tariffs, the premier noted: “We’ve destroyed, I stress this, we’vedestroyed
the most corrupt scheme that operated for decades in the country. And those who
led these schemes, they made a profit on this”.
According to Volodymyr Groysman,
when one sees that someone robs others then there are two options: to help
robbing or stop the robbers.
“I believe that my task is to
stop. I stopped plundering. This is first. Second, we’ve not just stopped the robbery, we’ve
clearly determined to pursue a strategy for energy independence and took up
energy independence measures. We really tackle the tasks, which make it
possible to say that Ukraine will become an energy independent country in
three-four-five years. This is a huge contribution to our economy and
stability,” Groysman said.
