Volodymyr Groysman regarding law on special confiscation: It's a matter of honor for the Parliament and the Government to return the stolen $ 1.5 billion assets to state budget

The law on special confiscation should be voted by Parliament as soon as possible, thereby allowing us to return $ 1.5 billion - proceeds of crime of former senior officials - to the state budget. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during A Question Time at the VR on Friday.
“We have always supported and continue to support, and believe we should vote for this law as fast as possible and return the money to the state budget”, said Volodymyr Groysman. “I consider that a matter of honorfor the Ukrainian Parliament, Ukrainian Government to  return the plundered money to the state budget. These funds must serve Ukraine and the Ukrainian citizens".

The Government elaborated a law that provides an opportunity to settle an issue of returning of the arrested $ 1.5 billion and is committed to include changes or amendments when the Ukrainian Parliament considers it necessary, said the Prime Minister.
Volodymyr Groysman added that a seized sum worth $ 1.5 billion should be transferred according to the law to the state budget - that means back to where they had been plundered, adding it is viewed by the Government as a sacred duty.
The Prime Minister noted that some politicians do not want to support this law, explaining that it supposedly contains corruption factors.
"What corruption factors are here? And, maybe, on the contrary, they do not vote because there are no corruption factors? And, maybe, on the contrary, they do not vote, because they promised someone not to vote? Or, maybe, on the contrary, they support those who want to whisk the money from the budget, to abandon forfeiture, to move out of the country? I have a question, and I have answers to these questions", urged Volodymyr Groysman.
