Head of the supervisory board of Odesa port-side chemical plant Serhiy Pereloma and first deputy head of the enterprise Mykola Schurikov have been detained within the case of embezzlement of the funds of Odesa port-side chemical plant, Head of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Nazar Kholodnytsky has said at a briefing in Kyiv.
According to him, Pereloma and Schurikov will soon be indicted on several charges.
"The investigation of alleged illegal activities with the assets of PJSC Odesa port-side chemical plant could constitute violation of Part 5 of Article 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement of property or seizure by malpractice) and Part 2 of Article 364 (abuse of power or position, resulting in serious consequences) of the Criminal Code," he said.
"Enough evidence has been collected for a criminal investigation into embezzlement of the enterprise funds on a large scale benefiting two relatively high-ranking officials," the official added.
