5 April 2016, Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine Tetiana Popova spoke
at Spring NATO Academy "Strategic communications in the conditions of
hybrid war" with the report on the strategic action plans of MIP for 2016.
The event was attended by leading international and national experts in the
field of strategic communications, the representatives of the NATO Information
and Documentation Centre in Ukraine, rectors, lecturers and students of higher
educational institutions of Ukraine, scientists, heads of public organizations,
representatives of the mass media.
The Spring NATO Academy is aimed at raising awareness of Ukrainian society,
especially youth, on issues of security, NATO's activities and the role of
strategic communications in the conditions of hybrid war and information
threats.
During the speech, Tetiana Popova spoke about the work of
MIP in 2015 and strategic action plans for 2016, also stressed the importance
of strengthening and development of strategic communications in Ukraine:
"Ukraine is just beginning its activities in the field of strategic
communications. I hope that in the next few years we will be able to reach the
level of compliance with the best practices of NATO in the field of strategic
communications and to strengthen communication between government and
society".
