The Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce has banned PJSC Odesa port-side chemical plant from alienating non-current assets, according to the press service of Group DF.
"On March 31, 2016 the Stockholm arbitration satisfied a claim of Ostchem Holding Ltd (part of Group DF) and ordered the plant to refrain from alienation or encumbrance in any way of its non-current assets until August 31, 2016," reads a statement.
According to the press service, Ostchem appealed to arbitration with the relevant petition to protect its rights in relation to the plant's debts (including the planned privatization of the enterprise).
"The sole purpose of Ostchem when applying to arbitration is to recover the plant's debt for the gas supplied. The sum of the plant's debt to Ostchem formed for almost three years (excluding fines, penalties and other losses) comes to $193 million," the press service added.
As reported, the State Property Fund of Ukraine intends to announce an auction on the privatization of PJSC Odesa port-side chemical plant in the second half of May and hold it in June.
