SPF to put 21 agribusinesses up for privatization in 2016

The list of enterprises the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) plans to put up for privatization in 2016 includes 21 enterprises from the #agricultural_sector.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, among these companies are Kirovohrad food factory, Yahotyn fish company, Horlivka bakery, Siversky meat and dairy complex, Svit Lasoschiv and others.

The most expensive of them is Kirovohrad food, the initial value of which amounts to UAH 22.38 million.


As reported, the Agriculture Ministry is ready to pass 429 entities to the SPF, 209 of which are in the process of liquidation because of poor financial standing, bankruptcy, a lack of property and so on, 127 are being reorganized through a merger with other state-owned enterprises, and another 42 (in particular, Artyomsol and Ukrspyrt) should be excluded from the list of companies that are not subject to privatization.

The ministry also noted that only 15% of the enterprises that are to be passed to the SPF are located in Kyiv and Kyiv region, and the rest in other regions.
