Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces Viktor Muzhenko has
held a meeting with U.S. Commander of Special Operations Command in Europe
(SOCEUR) Gregory Lengyel.
"The meeting addressed the further bilateral
cooperation in the development of the Special Operation Forces of Ukraine's
Armed Forces," Muzhenko wrote on his Facebook account on Wednesday.
He also thanked the U.S. for the support which it
provided to the Ukrainian army in the establishment of the Special Operations
Forces (SOF), and also for the help in engaging foreign advisers and
instructors into the training of the Ukrainian SOF experts.
"For his part, Major General Gregory Lengyel stressed that Ukraine
will soon have its own training system for special forces based on its own
battle experience, and the U.S. will take every efforts to help our army in the
training of special operations experts," Muzhenko wrote.
