Ukraine was ranked 54th in the global rating for the openness of public data “Global Open Data Index”

Ukraine was ranked 54th in the global rating for the openness of public data “Global Open Data Index” among 134 countries in 2015. Every year, the rating reflects how national governments treat public data to make them more accessible and transparent for the citizens. The decisive factors contributing to Ukraine’s upgrade in the rating are, among others, the implementation of the web-portal on public spending E-DATA www.e-data.gov.ua and the release of data on public procurement.
The project «E-Data» secures the transparency in state budget operation and allows any citizen to trace public spending transactions in real time mode. It is also a tool for the analysis and control of state budget execution helping fight corruption. «E-Data» is the first IT-solution of this kind in Europe processing and releasing (on daily basis) data on the transactions of the State Treasury Service which processes approx. 1 million transactions per day.

The Deputy Minister of Finance and coordinator of the E-DATA project Oksana Markarova noted in this regard: "This achievement - is exactly the case when the joint efforts succeeded. When you have the courage to fight, your efforts bear fruit. Thanks to E-DATA project, among other projects, Ukraine has taken a worthy 54th place among 134 world countries in the Global Open Data Index 2015."
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine is continuing to implement the revolutionary IT-platform «E-Data» which allows to make public spending transparent and serves the interest and right of citizens to receive timely information on public spending. E-Data also contributes to more effective fight against corruption. The official web-portal E-Data is available under the link http://e-data.gov.ua/
