On December 1, 2015, the banking system of
Ukraine has transferred to the international accounting standards.
Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine
(NBU), Vladyslav Rashkovan said at a meeting of top managers of 40 Ukrainian
leading banks, the NBU press service reports.
“On December 1, the Ukrainian banking system has
transferred to the international accounting standards. This is an outstanding
event, which the banks have been waiting for the last 17 years,” Rashkovan
said.
The NBU also noted that for the realization of
this project from February 2015 a pilot project had been realized, as well as
the workshops by the World Bank, during which bank accountants studied
international standards of accounting.
