Kremlin says Russian-Turkish summit in St. Petersburg canceled

MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. The Russian-Turkish summit scheduled for this month in St. Petersburg has been canceled, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"No, it (summit) won’t take place, it is not planned," Peskov stressed.

Last month, the head of Russia’s federal government agency Rossotrudnichestvo, Lyubov Glebova, told TASS that the Russian-Turkish forum was canceled. However, Peskov said there was no official cancelation of the event.

"No, the situation is unclear. There has been no official cancelation yet. But now there are many questions in the air regarding the possibility of holding such an event. But I stress that there is no cancelation yet," Peskov said.
