Government of Ukraine continues upgrading state services: more citizens to obtain the right to get free legal assistance

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision on granting the right for free legal aid to citizens who apply for the status of an ATO participant and to the displaced persons. Moreover, on initiative of the Government there was readied a bill envisaging an increase of the sum for the low income families, who have the right for free legal assistance in the amount of one to two subsistence wages. First Deputy Minister of Justice Natalia Sevostyanova announced this today during a press conference at the Cabinet of Ministers.
She also noted that throughout approximately 2 months of operation the free legal assistance centres had provided an advocate to over 2.200 citizens for legal aid in court.
Advisor to the Minister of Justice Dmytro Storozhuk stressed that there is no doubt that the reform is efficient.

"Such a large number of requests shows that citizens really need this help," he stressed.
