The President of Ukraine signed the Law "On Amendments to Several Legislative Acts of Ukraine on the Improvement of Regulation of Relations in the Sphere of Ensuring the Road Traffic Safety".

The law provides for several new authorities for the patrol police in the sphere of ensuring the road traffic safety.
Chief of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine Oleksandr Fatsevych sent a letter to the President of Ukraine with a request to consider the possibility of immediate signature of the given draft law.
Fatsevych noted that "the establishment of the patrol police has become a notable reform in the public and the increase of the number of appeals to the patrol police by 60% demonstrates high level of social trust".
The law introduces automatic photo and video fixation of administrative offenses in the sphere of ensuring the road traffic security, which will reduce the number of road accidents.
