Ukraine will file another lawsuit against Russia in the European Court of Human Rights in September.
Deputy Justice Minister of Ukraine Anton Yanchuk said during the meeting with representatives of the European External Action Service.
"In September, we are going to file another lawsuit against the Russian Federation on the facts of violation of the Convention on Human Rights, which were not covered by previous legal actions," the Justice Ministry press service quotes the official as saying.
According to the Deputy Minister, the Ukrainian side is also in talks with Russia concerning the interpretation and application of the part of the UN conventions where Russia recognizes the jurisdiction of the arbitration.
"In addition, we are going to start negotiations on other international treaties, where the Russian Federation recognizes the jurisdiction of international courts and the relevant arbitration institutions. As a result, we will use most of the tools of settlement of the international dispute between Ukraine and the Russian Federation on the occupation of Crimea and organization and financing the conflict in the Donbas," Yanchuk said.
As a reminder, as of now, three interstate cases “Ukraine versus the Russian Federation” have been registered in the European Court of Human Rights.
