The Finish Line is the 38th Parallel

As some of Ukraine's streetwise intellectuals say, anyone can grab a gun, but not everyone has the guts to pull the trigger. You can have the world’s most powerful army, but it’s just dead weight without the will to act. Run, Biden, run! The race is on, but where’s it headed? The stakes are high — will America secure its global leadership, or watch it slip away? We’re closing in on a symbolic line: the 38th parallel.

Some "analysts," the same ones who predicted Ukraine’s fall within three days, are now speculating about a Korean-style stalemate for Russia and Ukraine. They cling to maps, marking out demilitarized zones, but those who know history see the limits of such blueprints. As Zelensky pointed out, the arrival of North Korean troops on Russian soil, officially acknowledged by Russia, is no accident.

These soldiers aren’t here simply to fight but to learn, gathering intelligence on modern warfare tactics to take back to Pyongyang. And one day, Putin might return the favor, deploying Russian troops in support of Kim Jong-un along the 38th parallel.

We’re watching NATO, supposedly the bulwark of the West, as it teeters on the edge of irrelevance, transforming into something reminiscent of the UN: a coalition heavy on words and light on action. Without forceful intervention, the aggressors of the world are emboldened. With conflict brewing across the globe — Russia against Ukraine, Iran against Israel — the looming showdown between China and Taiwan only adds to the storm.

If hostilities flare up along the Korean border, will we hear more cautionary tales about “preventing escalation”? Will China step in, posturing as a “peaceful” mediator? But we know words alone won’t deter an aggressor. What we need is resolve — firm, decisive actions that send a message loud and clear.

Glory to Ukraine!
