SBU foils Russian intel's technogenic disaster plot in Ukraine


The SBU Security Service of Ukraine has blocked Russian special services' attempt to penetrate a computer network of a chlorine distribution plant located in the settlement of Auly, Dnipropetrovsk region. The facility is part of the country's critical infrastructure, the SBU reported July 11. "Specialists of the cybersecurity service established that within a few minutes the enterprise's process control system and that for detecting emergencies were deliberately struck from the Russian territory by a VPNFilter computer virus," the SBU wrote on Facebook.
