Britain won’t be a dumping ground for poison, Sajid Javid tells Russia after Amesbury novichok incident

Russia has used Britain as a “dumping ground for poison”, Sajid Javid has said as he called on the Kremlin to help explain a second nerve agent incident in four months.

The home secretary said the “eyes of the world” were on Russia as it hosted the World Cup and insisted that Britain would “stand up to the actions that threaten our security”.

Britain will use President Trump’s visit to the UK and the Nato summit next week to brief allies on the latest case and to consider possible consequences, he told MPs.
