Issues pertaining to the cooperation on improvement of biosafety in Ukraine were touched upon in the course of a meeting between Head of State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) Volodymyr Lapa, representatives of the U.S.Embassy in Ukraine and the delegation of the Black & Veatch company.
The sides considered the provision of technical assistance to the SSUFSCP and to the network of state laboratories.
Apart from that, the participants of a meeting analyzed the state of development of technical documentation for the construction of laboratories of the SSUFSCP in Kyiv and Odessa.
The attendees also outlined the prospects for scientific cooperation, modernization of training strategies and advanced training of veterinary doctors, in particular the use of electronic training courses for veterinarians within the framework of raising of qualification.
