Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision package that will greatly simplify conducting of business

In May 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a package of decisions designed to simplify the conditions for doing business. The initiatives were developed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine in synergy with the Better Regulation Delivery Office.
In particular, one of the initiatives of the Ministry is the introduction of a risk-oriented approach in the work of inspecting authorities.
"Violations were detected in 99% of business inspections. This is due to the fact that checking activities are aimed at applying sanctions. The core objective of inspectors should  be elimination of offences of law, but not imposing sanctions", First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv  announced during the Government session.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine expects the implementation of a risk-oriented approach will create a powerful analytical system that will operate on the basis of reliable and detailed information. This system will increase the accuracy of the assessment of the risk of business entities and will allow to focus on inspections of the most risky enterprises. The system will also provide consumers with information about the degree of risk of a particular producer.
The Government also endorsed a Concept on the Reform of the Institute of Self-Regulation in Ukraine.
"At present, business is actually excluded from regulating its market, and state authorities spend enormous resources to fulfill their functions in regulating economic activity," Stepan Kubiv emphasized.
.According to the Vice Prime Minister, the implementationof this concept gives green light to the establishment of a unified state policy on self-regulation in Ukraine and provides the basis for a dialogue of stakeholders on normative regulation of self-regulatory processes in Ukraine.
