Ukrainian President on the draft law "On Currency": We implement the principle "everything that is not forbidden is allowed"

The National Council of Reforms chaired by the President considered the draft law “On Currency” that will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Head of State emphasized that the draft law "On Currency" implemented the principle "everything that is not forbidden is allowed" and stipulated the introduction of gradual, consistent and flexible liberalization  in the foreign exchange market of Ukraine, free movement of capital and other currency values. “We also remove such a severe punishment as the suspension of foreign economic activity," Petro Poroshenko said.

The President emphasized that the issues of currency regulation reform were extremely important for stimulating the economy and developing entrepreneurship. "All of them will feel relief right after the adoption of the law," Petro Poroshenko noted and emphasized that "the entrepreneur should make business competitive, and the state should help and protect the entrepreneur".
The President noted that the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers "On the System of Currency Regulation and Currency Control" will be finally abolished. "Twenty five years passed. The world went forward. And we have currency regulation of the year 1993," he said, adding that there are more than 10,000 foreign economic entities in Ukraine that conduct 2.5 million transactions per year.
"The ultimate goal is to improve the conditions for investors, attract investment, new jobs, new revenues to the state budget, currency inflows into the country, strengthening of the national currency. And the main thing is the growth of income of Ukrainians. Successful Ukraine for successful people," the President noted.
