The Financial and Economic Analysis Office at the
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has been established in the framework of the project
financed by the "Support for the reform of public financial
management" program of the German Corporation for International
Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH; GIZ)
under respective order of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and
Development (BMZ) and the British Department for International Development
(DfID), and the letter of intent between the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada
of Ukraine, GIZ, Westminster Fund for Democracy (WFD) and League of Interns of
November 19, 2015.
The Office task is to boost the efficiency and quality
of economic and financial legislation being elaborated by the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine, and to intensify use of information to provide effective supervision
and examination.
The major functions of the Office are:
- expert consulting in bringing Ukrainian legislation
in line with the EU laws in the fields of economy and finances;
- financial analysis in a form of standard
products.
