Verkhovna Rada has voted in favor of a resolution on sending to the
Constitutional Court of Ukraine a president's bill on the amendments into the
Fundamental Law on Justice (No. 3524).
A total of 291 MPs voted for the respective bill on
Tuesday.
According to the parliament's protocol, as soon as the
bill on amendments into the Constitution of Ukraine put on agenda of the
session, the lawmakers send it to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine
afterwards to receive the conclusions on whether the bill complies with the
Articles 157 and 158 of the Fundamental law.
After the conclusions of the Constitutional Court
received, the parliament preliminary approves the bill in the first reading
under 226 votes.
The aforementioned law will be finally adopted at the
next plenary session due to the constitutional majority (at least 300 votes).
