The Ukrainian Cabinet has decided to restrict
the supply of goods to the Crimean peninsula.
Speaking to journalists after a Cabinet meeting
on Wednesday, Minister of Social Policy Pavlo Rozenko said that the decision,
which was announced by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk at the beginning of the
meeting, has been made. "Yes, we did (make the decision)," he said.
Yatseniuk said earlier that the Ukrainian
government on Wednesday would make a decision to limit the supply of goods and
services to and from Crimea, which will come into effect 30 days after being
signed.
"The supply of goods and services through
customs…except personal effects, staple foods and humanitarian aid will be
banned," he said.
