The Crimean Tatar Battalion will
be created within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, told Lenur Islyamov, the main
coordinator of the civil blockade of Crimea, in Hromadske Radio live broadcast.
He also explained the position of activists of
the Crimea blockade regarding their permission to connect one of the lines
transmitting power to Crimea.
"We do not want the international community
to turn away from Ukraine. Therefore, we have connected one line. We want
everything to be legitimate," he said.
Islyamov also noted he has received more and
more calls from the Crimean people asking him what Ukraine would do with them,
should Crimea be returned to Ukraine.
"They say "We are traitors. What would
happen to us? We voted for a referendum." We have received more and more
such calls," Islyamov said.
Earlier, Islyamov said that the blockade
activists considered the decree
of the Ukrainian government on suspending commodity supplies to the Autonomous
Republic of Crimea to be inadequate.
According to the activists, the provisions of the document provides for the
possibility to deliver goods to Crimea for lucrative purposes.
