Britain's Сrown Agents after the two-month negotiations with the Finance Ministry
of Ukraine is ready to provide customs services, Senior Advisor at Сrown Agents Paul Richards has said.
"As far as we know the ministry is to make a
concrete decision by the end of the year. However, there is doubt that the
decision would be made," he said at the forum devoted to the customs
reforms held in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He expressed readiness of the company to quickly
involve in the real process of customs reforms.
He said that the Finance Ministry asked the company to
define the needs of Ukrainian customs agencies and help to reform the customs
system.
The first meeting of representatives of the ministry and the company
was held around six months ago. Then meetings with Head of the State Fiscal
Service Roman Nasirov and heads of the customs offices were held.
Richards said that at present, the Finance Ministry is
drawing up a document where its visions and needs will be outlined. The company
is preparing for presenting their comments and proposals.
He also said that Crown Agents is not the only company
which the ministry consulted with on the issue.
As reported, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy
Yatseniuk at the presentation of the institutional reform of the State Fiscal
Service in July 2015 initiated an experiment to transfer of some customs
services to the management of foreign companies.
