Clashes at airport push Kiev back towards war

Fighting has erupted around Donetsk’s war-ravaged airport as rebels backed by Moscow renewed their offensive after a two-month lull.
Hundreds of grenade and mortar attacks in recent days prompted President Poroshenko of Ukraine to order soldiers to return fire “as soon as their lives come under threat”.
He added: “Today, we can say with confidence that if the aggressor launches offensive operations, we are prepared to knock their teeth out. We are prepared to stop the enemy.”
