Gov't opens more than 300 registers and datasets

Ukraine begins implementing a system of open government data for almost all public authorities and public enterprises. On Wednesday, November 21, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a relevant resolution on open data, which actually launches the development of an open information infrastructure of the country.
The Government of Ukraine has approved the order of opening information and the list consisting of over 300 datasets of high priority, many of which are full registers. The Government emphasizes that this list will be regularly supplemented with new data sets based on public demand and initiatives of public bodies.
In particular, according to the decision of the Government, on the National open data portal data.gov.ua  will be soon placed the whole legal framework of Ukraine, the register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, the register of administrative-territorial system, the register of patents of Ukraine, the register of medicines and prices on medicines, financial plans of state enterprises, the single register of sports facilities, the cadastre of fields and mineral deposits of Ukraine, etc


The Government points out that this system of open data will provide citizens with the highest level of transparency of state bodies as well as a reduction in requests for information, because the information will be always at hand.
