Ukraine's ex-president Yanukovych suspected of taking UAH 26 mln bribe disguised as royalty fee

The Directorate for Special Investigations at the Main Investigative Directorate of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has compiled a report about suspecting the former Ukrainian president, Viktor Yanukovych, of having taken a UAH 26 million bribe disguised as a royalty fee.
"The ex-Ukrainian president, V. Yanukovych, is suspected of receiving a UAH 26 million bribe in 2011-2012, while assisting, through abuse of office, the individuals who held controlling stakes in Novy Svit, a limited liability company, in conducting entrepreneurial and other activities, as well as standing up for them in relations with state and law enforcement authorities," the Prosecutor General's Office said on its website on Thursday.
