From Greece to Islington, people are blaming the West because Russia is not feeling secure

They’ve all become Vladmir Putin’s “useful idiots”: those Greek ministers in Hawaiian shirts, the pony-tailed anti-austerians of Spain, the Islington Northers, all these inhabitants of the Red Planet. These largely unwitting collaborators have suddenly become so handy to the Kremlin at a critical moment. Russia is cranking up its military, the Ukraine peace deal has flopped and Moscow is starting to think it needs to shift the terms of its argument with the West before it makes the next strategic move.
