The law that allows religious communities to establish the schools

President of Ukraine signed the Law of Ukraine №498-VIII "On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine on the establishment of religious organizations of educational institutions." The relevant law was passed by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on June 2, 2015.

According to this law, religious organizations registered in the manner prescribed by law, may be the founders (owners), vocational, secondary and pre-school educational institutions. The changes also apply to after-school educational institutions, which allowed the activities of religious organizations, provided that they are the founders of the kindergarten.

This law provides the constitutional right of believing parents or persons substituting them, the education of children in conformity with their own religious beliefs.
