New Constitution version to stipulate Crimea, Sevastopol autonomy

The amended Constitution will stipulate the autonomous status of Crimea and Sevastopol.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this while presenting the draft amendments to the Constitution on decentralization, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The autonomy of Crimea is clearly stipulated in the current Constitution. It has fairly broad powers. These powers of Crimea and Sevastopol are preserved," the Head of State said.
Poroshenko expressed belief that Crimea would be returned to Ukraine thanks to the diplomatic efforts.
"I am confident that the problem of illegal annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation will be solved as a result of diplomatic efforts. The national and cultural autonomy of the Crimean Tatars will be restored" the President added.
