The Ukraine's Finance Ministry on July 24 repaid another coupon on five-year Eurobonds worth $2.6 billion.
A source in the Finance Ministry said this to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"The coupon was repaid," a source said.
President of the Univer Investment Group Taras Kozak noted that this settlement was payment for debt servicing, not its paying off. "In late June, Ukraine paid interest on Russian debt. Therefore, the Western partners would not have understood if this coupon had not been repaid" Kozak said.
According to him, there are enough currency resources on the accounts of the Finance Ministry. As a reminder, Ukraine is in talks with the special committee of creditors on restructuring of foreign debt worth USD 15.3 billion. The next round of talks is to be held this week.
