Corruption at the highest level is greater threat to
Ukraine than Russian tanks.
United States Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt
said this at the Wroclaw Global Forum, Radio Liberty reported.
He added that only Ukrainians themselves can deal with
this threat.
According to the diplomat, Russia used the delay in
energy sector reforming to prevent Ukraine's energy choices.
At the same time, Pyatt approved the reform decisions
that were adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in the economy and security sectors and
shared the opinions of other forum participants, who insisted that they
"cannot afford Ukraine to lose."
