The Verkhovna Rada adopted the law "On legal regime of martial law".

The document submitted to the Parliament by the PresidentPetro Poroshenko. The law provides for the definition of rules for the functioning of the state in the event of martial law and procedure for the establishment of the military administration.

Military commanders and the administration have the right to establish enhanced protection of important facilities and to introduce labor service for able-bodied persons, moreover, forced to dispose of private and communal property for state needs.

"There was martial law, but it is still based on the post-Soviet standards. There was a lot of practical issues that may arise, we believe now.
