President honored memory of warriors fallen during World War II

On the 70th anniversary of Victory over Nazism in Europe, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko paid tribute to the fallen warriors of World War II. Together with veterans, the Head of State laid flowers to the monument at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Kyiv.

The attendees honored the memory of the fallen heros with a moment of silence. The Honor Guard warriors saluted six volleys of personal weapons and solemnly marched.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, First Deputy Chairman of Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, Kyiv CSA Head Vitali Klitschko, Kyiv RSA Head Volodymyr Shandra, Head of the Presidential Administration Borys Lozhkin.


Before the ceremony, the President had a conversation with veterans.
