Kremlin wants to keep Savchenko behind bars for another six months

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation extends the period of investigation into the case against MP of Ukraine Nadiya Savchenko for six months until November 13.
Lawyer of Savchenko Nikolai Polozov has posted this information on Twitter.

"Tomorrow at 14:30, at Moscow's Basmanny District Court, the investigation will request to extend the period of custody for Savchenko until November 13, 2015," he posted.

The lawyer said in a commentary to an Ukrinform correspondent that tomorrow two hearings on the case of Savchenko would be held.

"The investigation makes the decision on the period extension. They need time to get expert studies, to familiarize with new materials. So tomorrow, the Moscow's Basmanny District Court will hold two hearings on case of Savchenko. The first hearing will refer to our complaint regarding the PACE immunity. The second hearing concerns the request of the investigation to prolong custody period," Polozov said.
