The conference on international support for Ukraine (Kyiv, April 28, 2015)

Conference Goal
The conference gives the Government of Ukraine an opportunity to provide a ‘status report’ on Ukraine’s economy and its short- and mid-term reform strategy.
Ukraine will demonstrate to the international community and private sector communities its commitment to fundamental economic, judicial, and regulatory change, and highlight recovery and reconstruction initiatives planned for conflict-affected areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The international community will, by its participation, demonstrate its continuing political support and solidarity with the reform efforts of the Ukrainian Government.
Conference objectives:
·  International community obtain visibility into the economic and security challenges faced by Ukraine and understand the Government’s short- and mid-term strategy and implementation plans for key reforms
·  Institutional and private investors understand changes and improvements in Ukraine’s business environment
·  Ukraine presents its donor coordination mechanism, reporting on fund allocation and application, and explanation of challenges

·  The international community appreciates the changes and improvements in Ukraine’s political and economic environment, and gains clarity of the reform process and donor support plans.

The Government of Ukraine intends to invite:
  • International government representatives
  • International organizations
  • Global investment community
