EU ambassadors have included Ukraine in the list of countries for which travel restrictions have been lifted
The ambassadors of the European Union have approved an updated list of countries for which the travel restriction related to the COVID-19 pandemic is being lifted. According to a Radio Svoboda journalist, for the first time Ukraine is on the list.
This information will be updated on the official resources of the European Union today, July 14, in the afternoon.
Earlier this week, the leadership of the bloc voiced a proposal. It is advisory in nature and is not a direct reference to national governments.
The European Commission’s recommendation to open the EU’s borders to a specific list of countries is not legally binding. EU Member States individually approve final decisions on easing or tightening travel restrictions.
