New U.S. sanctions against Russia involve ban on foreign assistance, arms sales, denial of govt credit

A notice of the U.S. Department of State regarding new sanctions against Russia that will take effect on August 27 was published on Friday in the U.S. Federal Register.
The new sanctions will involve a ban on foreign assistance, arms sales and financing of such deals, denial of U.S. government credit or other financial assistance and ban on exports of national security-sensitive goods and technology, the document said.
