Government approved bill on the anti-corruption strategy for 2018-2020

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the draft Law of Ukraine "On Anti- Corruption Strategy for 2018-2020". The bill was drafted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) in order to determine a range of actions aimed at reducing corruption in Ukraine and further promoting anti-corruption initiatives in the country.

During the preparation of the bill, the NACP applied an analysis of the effectiveness of the previous anti-corruption strategy by taking into account the proposals of the authorities concerned, public organizations and leading national and international experts, sociological and analytical studies on the study of the situation regarding corruption, statistical observations, the practice of applying anti-corruption legislation, assessing the level of implementation of international standards in the field of anti-corruption policy.

After the adoption of the Anticorruption Strategy by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, within three months from the date of entry into force of this Law, the Government will approve the State Program for Implementing the Principles of the State Anti-Corruption Policy in Ukraine (Anti-Corruption Strategy) for 2018-2020.
