EU Delegation opens a call for applications for the 18th EU Study Days’ session

The Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, in cooperation with the Centre for Ukrainian Reform Education, announces a call for applications for the 18th session of the EU Study Days.


The session will take place from 30 March to 02 April 2017 in Ivano-Frankivsk for the students and graduates from all Ukrainian regions. The EU Study Days will offer an opportunity for Ukrainian university students and graduates to:

  • get more information about the European Union and EU-Ukraine relations from key experts in the field;
  • learn about major issues in EU-Ukraine relations in the fields of politics, economy, energy policy, mobility, education and human rights);
  • gain the opportunity to get in touch with representatives from the EU institutions and researchers;
  • join a network of young people in Ukraine, in order to exchange their experience and implement joint initiatives in the future. 
Who is eligible to apply?
The project is open to Ukrainian university students in their last years or recent graduates (who graduated no more than three years ago) from all Ukrainian regions.
Priority will be given to students and graduates who obtained (or are undergoing) education in the following fields: international relations, European studies, law, political science, economy, finance, business, sociology, journalism, history, cultural studies, philosophy and philology.

Deadline for applications: March 03rd, 2017, 23:00.
40 persons will be selected to participate in the session. The selection will be made on the basis of the submitted application upon the following criteria: a) competence of the applicant; b) coverage of the highest possible number of regions; c) applicant’s proficiency in English (knowledge of English is required to participate in the project).
About the project
The EU Study Days is an education project initiated by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine. It provides the opportunity for Ukrainian university students and graduates to gain deeper knowledge about the European Union and EU-Ukraine relations from key experts in the field and from different viewpoints. The project also facilitates the establishment of a network of young Ukrainians who will be able to share their experiences and implement joint initiatives in the future.
Participation is free of charge. The project covers travel, accommodation and meals of participants from other cities.
Ukrainian and English are the two official languages of the EU Study Days series. Other sessions of EU Study Days will be conducted in Mariupol, Zaporizzhia and Mykolaiv.
