The agreement on "open skies" between Ukraine and the USA

Once within Ukrainian-American Business Forum in Washington signed an agreement on "open skies" between Ukraine and the USA.

The agreement will replace the existing agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the United States on Air Transport of 5 June 2000. The new agreement provides for the removal of restrictions on the number of carriers on each side and geography of flights.

The agreement on "open skies" is based on the principles of fair competition and free tariffs, depending on the commercial market situation with minimal intervention by the regulator.

This document provided by air carriers to offer passengers and shippers a variety of service options, developing new and competitive tariffs.

The agreement will enter into force after completion of internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the document. For example, in Ukraine provides its ratification by the Parliament.
