Lytvyn triggers Art 60 of the VR Regs for Will the People (again)

On 20th October, MP Volodymyr Lytvyn announced his departure from the Will of the People faction from the rostrum in the Verkhovna Rada.

In doing so, the issues of Articles 59 and 60 of the Verkhovna Rada Regulations are raised with regard to the survival of the Will of the People faction within parliament as a legimitaely recognised force – again..

These Articles prescribe rules for the recognition and continued existence  of parliamentary factions and/or groups that are to be formed within the first session of the Verkhovna Rada for the duration of that parliamentary term/mandate.  Currently 2014 – 2019.
